Wireless Laptop/Smart Phone/Tablet

In many classrooms, you can wirelessly project content from your laptop computer, smart phone or tablet! To see if a classroom has a wireless video interface, use the Classroom Attributes tab above.

The Wireless connection is an excellent backup for the wired connections! If your adapter has broken or there’s some other problem with the wired connection, the wireless connection can save the lecture. We highly recommend that all instructors practice using the wireless connection in the classroom.

We have two different types of wireless connections, depending on the age of the AV system. For one of them, you will need to install an app on your device. It can take some time to install and configure the app, therefore we recommend you install and test the wireless video connection before you need to use it. Newer rooms wireless connections use technology native to your device and do not need an app.

Instructions for each type of wireless connection are below. These instructions will be displayed on the projector in the classroom when you select Wireless on the touch panel.
