The HDMI Cord

ROOM: Ag Hall 125   RECORD LAYOUT: Same Size  INPUT: HDMI   CAMERA ANGLE: Podium

So we’re going to quickly go through the rest of the video inputs that are available in all of our AV Systems.  HDMI is useful for those with older laptops that don’t have USB-C connections. And for media Players that can run Blu-ray discs or DVD. But if you are using a device that has a USB-C port, please use that first before doing anything with the HDMI cord.

Now, one thing that we’d like to show you that we haven’t had the chance to mention is this “Protected Content Button” right here. This button is designed to help you play copyrighted material in the classroom in case you want to show a DVD using the HDMI cord or if you are showing something from kanopy or Netflix or some other streaming service from your laptop. Really important to note: If you are in a room with a lecture capture system, there is nothing you can do to record or stream media from Netflix or Amazon Prime or Kanopy.  This button is strictly here to help you show that type of media—— in-person—— in the room.  This button is really our best effort to help you in your teaching, but in the end we also cannot guarantee that your laptop will allow copyright-protected content to be streamed in a classroom.

So, to proceed with the tutorial please  press the “Protected Content Disabled”  button.
