How to Change the Display Profile of Your MacBook Pro with Touch Bar

If you are connected to the AV System, and what’s shown on the projection screen does not match what is showing on your computer, here’s what to do if you are using a MacBook Pro with Touch Bar.

Learn how to mirror your MacBook Pro with Touch Bar

On the touch bar, you’ll need to go to the “Control Strip” portion of the Touch Bar which is located on the left side of the Touch Bar. Tap the really small left facing arrow by that little sun icon:

and then the touch panel should expand and look something like this.

Now that the Touch Bar has changed to this,  press the command key by the spacebar,

and press the smaller sun icon on the Touch bar, which is the “Dim Brightness” button.

After you press the command key on your MacBook Pro keyboard and the dim brightness icon on the Touch Bar, the projection screen should be mirrored with your computer display. If the Touch bar is unresponsive or the screens don’t get mirrored, that is usually a very strong indication that you need to restart your MacBook Pro with Touch Bar.

To proceed with the tutorial, press the “Projector Mute” button on the Touch Panel.

Useful Tip:

This is a cumbersome process, and we recommend you take a screen shot or write this process down.

If your Touch Bar is non responsive, then you should restart your MacBook Pro.
